Bios

Amanda Schnabel is an accomplished soprano with experience and training in both classical music and theatre. She studied under Dr. Axel Theimer while receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the College of St. Benedict. She received top honors in both the 2000 and 2002 NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) Competition. She also placed third at the regional MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) competition in the Young Artist-Voice Division. Amanda has been involved in numerous community and professional theatre productions. She most recently appeared in Theatre in the Round's production of H.M.S. Pinafore, the Guthrie Theater's A Christmas Carol, and Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company's production of The Mikado. Like her idol Fran Drescher, Amanda works as a part-time nanny.


Beth Brandt began playing piano at the age of five. For ten years she took lessons at the Son-Sheim School of Music in Blaine, MN. From 1996 to 2000 she studied under Kay Carlson at the University of Minnesota, Morris where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. She was awarded a scholarship for excellence in accompanying. Beth also has experience playing piano and organ for church services, weddings, and local theatre organizations. She has worked as a rehearsal accompanist and assistant music director for several theatre productions. Beth currently teaches elementary music in the Edina School District.
